1- Ground beef, cubed, about 400g
2- 1 section of lotus root, , peeled, diced, about 50g
4- 1/2 of medium size onion, peeled, diced)
5- 1 large egg
6- Light soy sauce, 1 tbsp
7- Dark soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp
8- water, 1 tbsp
9- 1 section of lotus root, , peeled, sliced thinly, about 50g
.: 汁料 Sauce mixture :.
1- oyster sauce, 2 tbsp
2- black pepper, 1/2 tsp
3- Hot water, 5 tbsp
4- Honey, 2 tbsp
Mix the Group A ingredients. Knead the ground beef until it is sticky. Heat the non-sticky pan with 1 tbsp of oil over medium heat. Pan-fry the beef mixture until it is 90% cooked (about 4-6 minutes per side). Put it in sieve over a bowl. Put it aside.
Clean the pan and dry it well. Heat it again with 1 tbsp of oil over medium heat. Pan-fry the lotus roots (from Group B ingredients) until both side is golden (about 2 minutes per side). Add in the sauce mixture and bring it to boil. Add in the beef mixture and mix it well. Dish it up and serve it hot.
1- The beef patty will be tender if you add the breadcrumb.
2- Don't make the beef patty too thick or it will be hard to cook through.
3- Add 1 extra tbsp of honey before dishing it up if you like sweet.
